The M/V Pacific Yellowfin is currently looking for a steward(ess) starting for the 2018 charter
season of May to October. The yacht is currently in Vancouver, Canada. Through the summer,
we travel up the Central Coast of BC, working through ports from Quadra Island to Kitimat. 


Pacific Yellowfin is seeking professional, knowledgeable candidate to test their skills onboard the Ship. You will be part of a crew working to provide customers with an authentic, enjoyable, and fun guest experience. We are looking for candidates who are prepared to be challenged while developing their career.We are not a tug boat; we are a professional charter yacht serving some of the most exciting areas and people along the coast. (


The appropriate candidate will be responsible for the everyday smooth operation of the boat’s interior department, which means being adept in the arts of housekeeping services, laundry procedures and wardrobe management, food and beverage service and cleanup, and entertaining (while maintaining proper etiquette and a high-energy, can-do attitude at all times)

Foodservice/silver service
Drink service and bartending (no previous experience required)
The cleaning and polishing of interior/accommodation
Laundry, ironing, and other wardrobe maintenance tasks for guests and sometimes crew (when guests are onboard)
Cabin preparation
Pre-Season / ship stocking
Preparing guest outings
Maintaining staterooms and cabins (turnup/turndown service)
Refresh the ship every turnover.
Keeping all interior storage areas organized, orderly, and maintained
Exterior-crew support as needed (requiring proficiency with exterior lines and fenders)
Maintaining interior housekeeping during a trip (detail cleaning) while also being held responsible for guest-cabin care
Collaborating with the executive chef regarding meal service for the guests
Not falling into the ocean :)

Once established in a Steward/ess role, he/she may receive more responsibilities.

Team support is very important and all members of the crew are required to assist each other
when required

Experience as a Steward/ess, but for top-end superyachts, there are no specific qualifications.
A background in food and drink, hospitality and catering or customer service, or boat
experience is an advantage. (i.e Bed and Breakfasts, fine dining, catering, other charter yachts)
